Bob Wood Realty and A Bob Wood Real Estate Academy has made the switch to eco-friendly servers powered by wind energy here in the US. In fact, our real estate school server is not only 100% wind powered and cooled. It is 130% wind powered. That's right! we are trying to make a small impact in not only reducing the carbon emmissions made by powering our servers, we are trying to

reduce them. Did you know that one server has the emmissions of a 14mpg SUV? Yes, imagine all the servers in the world and how many of them are polluting our environment. This is just one small server, but it is a start! It is not the cheapest way to host a website, but the little extra effort makes a small difference. It's the law of numbers. Where we have our server housed in Texas, there are 4,000,000 websites

hosted out of the facility. Our server only has about 8 of those. That's a lot of servers out there. Each of the servers is powered this way by purchasing 130% Renewable Energy Credits to cover it's electricity usage.
This might not sound like much but it is the same as:
1.Removing 444 cars from the road for a year, or
2.Powering 321 homes with clean energy for a year, or
3.Saving 5,654 barrels of oil, or
4.Protecting 551 acres of forest for a year

It's our small way of having an impact on the environment.

If you have a website or server, I urge you to make the commitment to help save the environment a little bit at a time. Instead of outsourcing to other countries and relying on coal power. The little bit of money spent towards this cause can save a lot if accumulated through the law of numbers.
